Within the International Examiner, we were able to find a variety of opportunities to participate within the Asian Pacific Islander community.
A few ways the Editor, Travis, went over were:
- Internships are available in fields such as journalism, digital & social media, marketing & community outreach, or event coordinating administration & operations
- Note internships are unpaid opportunities to grow specialized skills
- Outside feedback is welcomed by letters to the editor
- Freelance manuscripts are accepted if it contributes to local community media
- Materials must be received one week prior to publication.
- Engaging with online journal blogs through the comments section
Travis also mentioned some up and coming opportunities for students. Right now the International Examiner is gearing up to launch a new Fellowship program for university students. More information can be found by contacting him directly at editor@iexaminer.org.
